derLTR - Blackhole/Portal Shader - Unity 2019.3 Shader Graph

One of the shader I've done for Light Trail Rush.

I've already worked with Amplify shader editor so it was easy to transition to the new Shader Graph built in unity.

The portal as seen in game. The noise is camera based to give a more "singularity" look.

The opening & closing of the portal is done with a slight offset between the refraction & the hole itself.

To allow the closing & personnalisation, the size of the hole can be set in the material.

To allow the closing & personnalisation, the refraction power can be set in the material.

The refraction was to to looks like an event horizon but also to be discret in front of the bare skybox and clearly visible in front of the buildings.

With Shader Graph's blackbox system, it's easy to make a simple yet customizable material and create variations.

The base of the noise in the center. A generated voronoi included in a subgraph.

The subgraph is then used in cascade to create a depht effect.
